Day 1 : Arrive Auckland

After you clear Immigration and Customs meet your driver in the Arrivals Hall for your private transfer to your Auckland accommodation for a 4-night stay. This afternoon head to Level 5, 88 Federal Street, for the Weta Workshop Unleashed experience. Explore interactive and immersive make- believe film sets, focusing on the worlds of horror, fantasy and sci-fi. There is a chance to get up-close and hands-on with enchanting environments, resident creatures, and a hyper-realistic giant and so much more.

Day 2 - Auckland (B)

Discover Auckland on a half-day tour. Head to the mission bay waterfront suburb about 3-miles east of Auckland. Drive along the scenic Tamaki Drive for unobstructed views of Rangitoto Island. Visit MJ Savage Memorial Park also known as “Bastion Point”, which overlooks The Harbour Bridge, Waitemata Harbour and Auckland City Skyline. Continue to Achilles Point where you will capture some amazing photos with Rangitoto Island as your background. Stop at One Tree Hill, a volcanic summit in Auckland City, it is the second largest volcanic field that is intact in Auckland City. You will enjoy the 360 view of Auckland at One Tree hill summit and learn about the history of the mount. Next stop will be at Mount Eden summit, one of the most prominent volcanic cones remaining in the Auckland region, where you'll be able to see amazing views over the Hauraki Gulf. Your tour comes to an end as we drive back into the city.

Day 3 - Waitomo Caves & Hobbiton (B)

This morning head to The Hobbiton Movie Set where you will hop on one of the Hobbiton buses that will take you to the Hobbiton Village.

Your tour guide will take you around the Movie Set explaining how it was built and will also tell you fun facts you never knew.

You will have a chance to go inside one of the Hobbit Holes, see The Mill, The Double Arched Bridge and have a complimentary drink at The Green Dragon Inn (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).

After you finish your Middle Earth Journey; we start heading to Waitomo Glowworm Cave where you will enjoy a 1 hour guided tour inside the Famous Waitomo Grotto including a boat ride in the underground Waitomo River.

After gazing at the beautiful luminous worms; we head back to Auckland Central.

Day 4 - Auckland – Queenstown

Transfer by private vehicle to Auckland Airport for your flight to Queenstown. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for a 4-night stay. The remainder of your day is free to explore Queenstown at your leisure.

Day 5 - Queenstown (B)

No trip to Queenstown is complete without taking in some incredible views, visiting Arrowtown, sampling some tasty local wine, and getting out on the water so the top local spots are handpicked and combined into an amazing half-day sightseeing experience. The tour departs from Central Queenstown, and the first stop is an observation point where you can take in one of the best panoramic views in Queenstown. After capturing some incredible photos, enjoy a brief stop overlooking the Shotover River before free time in the charming township Arrowtown. Travel to Gibbston and visit the world's first commercial Bungy jump offering entertainment spectating opportunities. The region is also home to some Middle-earth magic and is becoming increasingly famous for its world-class cold climate wine. Enjoy wine tasting (non-alcoholic substitutes available) and a shared cheese board at a local winery with jaw-dropping views. It's not finished there, on the way back to Queenstown transfer from land to the lake with a picturesque thirty-minute scenic boat cruise on Lake Wakatipu ending your tour at the wharf in the heart of town.

Day 6 - Milford Sound -Queenstown (B,L)

Board the coach in Queenstown and travel alongside Lake Wakatipu and then through farming countryside to Te Anau where there will be a short rest stop. From Te Anau, the overland journey to Milford Sound is a showcase of sheer mountains and towering cliffs, rugged valleys and native rain forest surrounded by teeming waterfalls and glacial lakes. On arrival, board a vessel for a Nature Cruise. This two-hour cruise takes in the highlights of Milford Sound while the skipper provides a fascinating commentary (English). The cruise follows the full length of the fiord on our modern vessel with comfortable indoor seating and tall windows for panoramic viewing of the spectacular Milford Sound. The large open outdoor upper deck affords excellent wildlife viewing including seals, dolphins, and penguins when in season. Visitors are well catered for with an on-board licensed bar offering the finest Mora wines and local Altitude Brewery craft beers alongside an on-board dining menu. Following the cruise, return to Queenstown by coach.

Day 7- Queenstown (B)

Today is free to explore Queenstown and surrounds at your leisure. Go Bungy jumping, zip-lining, ride to Gondola, enjoy a wine, beer or gin tasting tour. Ask our Destination Specialists how we can customize your stay to suit.

Day 10 - Queenstown (B)

Your New Zealand vacation concludes today when you are transferred to the airport for your flight back.
